Jet Info Systems offers to its corporate clients hi-tech solutions for deployment of information infrastructure and a complete set of aftermarket services from design and shipment to technical support. The desire to bring the level of services to a new level as well as the wish to more actively promote its solutions are two basic prerequisites for establishment of a regional branch. Jet Info Systems’ general director Vladimir Elisev noted, “The chief factor that prompted the decision to open a branch in Yekaterinburg was the enormous potential of the Urals IT market as well as a number of big projects implemented over the last year.” Among the company’s most prioritized tasks in the Urals region Vladimir Eliseev singles out “sitting up large computing centers, the development of technical support and simplification of interplay with corporate clients.”

Today, when the companies’ level of electronic communication development is growing exponentially, the main activity of organizations depends directly on the continuous and conflict-free work of the IT structure. The presence of service specialists in the immediate proximity of the customer becomes necessary to ensure prompt elimintion of emerging malfunctions and timely satisfaction of the customers’ needs.

Mikhail Populov who previously worked for «Treeline» heads the company’s new branch. At the moment besides the director three other people work at the branch – customer service manager, service engineer and office manager. “In the nearest future the branch is planning to hire some technical specialists in order to be able to successfully accomplish the primary objective set before it and namely – to ensure high quality of service provided to the region’s customers”, said Mikhail Populov.

The desire to seamlessly fit the newly-established branch into the existing community of Urals IT companies motivated the positioning of Urals Jet Info Systems as a local company whose employees are selected from those available in the region and, after completion of compulsory training and probation at the company’s headquarters, get the job. 

The opening ceremony of Jet Info systems’ branch in Yekaterinburg was held along with a number of other events – an official dinner and a two-day workshop that took place in late October.

The first day of the workshop was dedicated to the solutions offered by Jet Info Systems and its partners. The program of the workshop was meant for heads of IT and IS departments as well as for technical specialists responsible for the development and maintenance of corporate information systems and pursued fact-finding purposes. Apart from the company’s specialists, the reports giving an overview of the main development trends in the IT industry and the world’s leading tendencies in the light of their own research were delivered by the spokespersons of partner companies - Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems, VERITAS Software, Symantec, Novell, Aladdin. The concluding day of the workshop was largely oriented towards technical specialists in charge of the introduction and maintenance of information systems and systems of information protection.

In a bid to position different lines of the company’s work more accurately the program of the workshop was divided into two sections: “Practical aspects of building corporate IS” and “Practical aspects of building information security systems”.

Traditionally, such events are rare in the regions and invite avid interest of the representatives of various organizations. Each of the workshops was attended by no less than one hundred participants and it was not mere curiosity that had roused their interest but the desire to talk to their colleagues and discuss the problems at hand as well as the methods of their resolution.

 Jet Info Systems delegated to the workshop the heads of different departments of the Head office as well as 5 technical specialists. Such interaction that did not stop even during the pauses between reports let the potential and existing customers familiarize themselves in detail with the solutions offered by Jet Info Systems, the problems arising in the course of its activity and methods of coping with them.

On the other hand the representatives of Jet Info Systems got an opportunity to assess the most prospective trends of the regional IT market development and take a closer look at the problems encountered by the customers within the region, which will later help streamline the development of the branch.
