At the beginning of this summer the CIS Office of Oracle Corporation – the world largest producer of the enterprise software – launched a program on creation of the Oracle Competence Centers in Russia. The results of the program were summed up in late September. The launch of the program was stipulated by the selective use of Oracle software in Russia. The Competence Centers are aimed at informing the consumers about the advantages of the Oracle high technologies and their combined application.

The program requires that the Competence Centre employs certified experts with related experience, who are eager to develop the business. More than 50 participation applications were submitted but only 27 were approved. Jet Info Systems was granted a status of the Competence Centre, as the company meets all the necessary requirements. Jet Info Systems has been a partner of Oracle for a long time. It makes an extensive use of Oracle-based solutions in its developments. Jet Info Systems has a display stand featuring Oracle integrated technologies.

Oracle Competence Centers are created for six promising directions. Jet Info Systems has acquired the status of the Competence Centre in “Enterprise Application Systems Integration based on the Oracle9iAS application server”. “Integration means joint and simultaneous work of two and more application systems on a single common problem. Such cooperation is based on dynamic data exchange between two application systems, and since data are stored in specific for every single system format, it is necessary to use an instrument for format and data structure conversation” – explains Yulia Koshkina, Jet Info Systems Software Solutions Group manager.

It is worth mentioning that in the near future two more Jet Info Systems employees will go to the Oracle Training Centre in England for advanced training. It is planned that the present Demo-stand based on test samples will be developed and shortly provided with working applications. Thus, Jet Info Systems Competence Centre will be able to provide Russian customers with enhanced assistance in development and use of Oracle-based solutions.

Oracle Corporationis going to involve the Competence Centers in its marketing policies, provide assistance to marketing funds and recommend them to customers. The implementation of the Program will enable Russian customers to quickly install and efficiently use all the software produced by Oracle Corporation.
