III International Banking Forum “Russian Banks – XXI Century” concluded on September 4 in the Russian city of Sochi . It was organized by the Association of Russian Regional Banks with the participation of World Bank.

III International Banking Forum became the largest banking summit of the year. Participants and guests of the Forum were greeted by President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Head of the Government Mikhail Fradkov and other officials.

The Forum hosted about 700 participants. Among them were representatives of international organization – WB, IMF, IFC, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, TACIS, - banking associations, credit and other organizations from 15 countries (Belarus, UK, Hungary, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, UAE, Russia, the USA, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Germany and Switzerland), 30 economically important Russian regions – Krasnodarski, Nizhegorodski, Svrdlovsk, Novosibirsk, Volgograd regions, Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district and others.
